FX is set to have a busy September, as the network has announced its fall slate with some exciting familiar faces, as well as a few new ones.
First to premiere will be the spinoff of Kurt Sutter’s acclaimed biker drama Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C., debuting on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. ET. Set in a post-Jax Teller world, the show will center Ezekiel Reyes, fresh out of prison and looking to join the biker club whose members, like Emilio Rivera’s Marcus Alvarez, recurred throughout the seven seasons of Sons.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will return the next day for its thirteenth season, premiering Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 10 p.m. ET. on FXX. The gang, aside from Dennis, who will be in North Dakota taking on his new fatherly duties, will return to the pub for another season of hijinks.
The eighth installment of the American Horror Story anthology will debut Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10 p.m. ET. And it is one for AHS fans to get excited about, as series creator Ryan Murphy recently confirmed the long-awaited crossover between the first season, “Murder House,” and the third, “Coven,” would be premiering this fall. AHS veterans Sarah Paulson, Evan Peter and Kathy Bates are expected to lead the season, possibly reprising their roles from “Coven” and “Murder House.” Emma Roberts has also teased her involvement, hinting that Coven’s Madison Montgomery will also return.
Last but not least, FX will be premiering a new half-hour drama, Mr Inbetween, created by and starring Scott Ryan. The six-episode season follows a criminal for hire juggling his unconventional occupation with being a father, boyfriend and best friend. The drama does not yet have a premiere date, but will debut in September.
