The Game of Thrones Team-Up We’ve All Been Waiting for May Finally Happen in Season Seven

TV News Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is finally starting to consolidate its many powers. The show’s sixth season ended with Daenerys Targaryen, who has been separated from just about every other main character for the entire series, finally heading to Westeros. Once there, she’s going to finally begin her fight to win the seven kingdoms, and it looks like she might get some help from another beloved character. (Minor spoilers to follow.)

As revealed in a new video obtained by Watchers on the Wall, it looks like Daenerys may meet up with none other than Jon Snow, the newly crowned King in the North. According to WotW, “filming has been ongoing on the lovely islet of Gaztelugatxe in Basque Country for the past couple days, with major Game of Thrones characters descending to begin shooting scenes for season seven.”

Theories abound that Daenerys and Jon together may fulfill the idea of A Song of Ice and Fire that author George R.R. Martin describes in the books that Game of Thrones is based on—Daenerys would be the fire, and Jon would be the ice. The two characters are essentially the closest thing to the show’s leads, and recent revelations have led us to understand that the pair share some blood. This could make things tricky, especially if Jon plans to marry Daenerys in order to shore up their alliance.

Of course, if the pair plan to take the Iron Throne, then the recently crowned Queen Cersei better watch out. Daenerys already has a massive force, and the army of the North will only make her more formidable. You can check all this against Paste’s predictions for where Game of Thrones is headed right here.
