Let Justin Theroux Fix You in Mysterious New Clip from Cary Fukunaga’s Netflix Series Maniac

Justin Theroux wants to introduce you to a revolutionary new procedure in a new clip from the Cary Fukunaga-directed Netflix limited series Maniac, also starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.

Maniac will follow Stone and Hill playing “two strangers who find themselves caught up in a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial gone awry,” and this new clip reveals a bit more about the mysterious procedure that bonds together their characters.

Theroux is Dr. James K. Mantleray, who, along with Dr. Robert Muramoto (Japanese comedian Rome Kanda) and Dr. Fujita (Crazy Rich Asians’ Sonoya Mizuno), are the lead researchers at Neberdine Pharmaceutical Biotech, who have developed the U.L.P., a revolutionary miracle pill that can expand the horizons of the human mind and solve all sorts of mental ailments. Anxiety, PTSD, body dysmorphia … “it doesn’t matter.”

“You do not have to be lost in the cold, dark void,” says Dr. Muramoto before he gets distorted in the unsettling, ‘80s late-night infomercial-inspired clip. In just three days, the doctors at Neberdine Pharmaceutical Biotech can fix every one of your problems. Simply “start your treatment today,” as they tell you in unison.

We don’t have to wait too much longer for the answers on what this miracle drug actually does, as Maniac drops on Netflix in just three days, this Friday, Sept. 21.
