Images via Netflix/YouTubeNarcos, the critically acclaimed Netflix original series, will return on Sept. 2 for a second season. The show was renewed for a second season less than a week after its initial 10-episode release on Netflix last September.
To announce the season two release date, Netflix uploaded a 30-second teaser to YouTube, and also tweeted the video with a warning to avoid Wikipedia if you don’t want spoilers.

Narcos tells the (fictionalized) true story of the notorious drug lords of the late 1980s, specifically the rise and demise of Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura), and their frequent violent run-ins with law enforcement. Season one ended on Escobar escaping from prison, so season two should offer an intense on-the-run storyline (we didn’t Wikipedia it).
Filmed on location in Colombia, Narcos was hailed for its stunning visuals alongside its nontraditional, documentary-style storytelling. You can catch up on Narcos by watching season one on Netflix (here are five reasons why you should). Watch the teaser for season two below and binge on the show when it hits Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PST on Sept. 2.
