You know, I learned something today … South Park will be returning for its 20th season on Sept. 14, according to Mashable.
Last summer, Comedy Central renewed the long-standing show for three additional seasons, which means South Park will be testing the limits of good taste until at least 2019. It will also continue its streak as the second longest-running US cartoon behind, of course, The Simpsons.
“South Park remains the bedrock of Comedy Central and we are thrilled that new episodes will continue to entertain audiences for years to come,” network President Michele Ganeless said in a statement. “The series remains as urgent and relevant now as the day it premiered and at nearly 20 seasons in it continues to draw generations of new fans.”
