The Original Angel returns in all of her enigmatic glory in the new trailer for The OA Part II. The series, created by Brit Marling (who stars as the OA) and Zal Batmanglij, promises to remain unconventional and intriguing as ever in this latest clip.
Since the first season premiered unexpectedly just over two years ago, fans of the Netflix paranormal drama have been drawn into the strange, perpetually puzzling world of The OA. Now, Part II finds the OA in a new dimension as a Russian heiress, yet she is once again thwarted by Hap (Jason Isaacs). The trailer also highlights a new potential ally of the OA—private detective Karim Washington (Kingsley Ben-Adir), who’s searching for missing teenager Michelle Vu. He and the OA team up to find Michelle, leading them to investigate a Nob Hill house where a number of teens have vanished into thin air. BBA, Angie and the boys, on the other hand, remain in the first dimension and continue to uncover more about the OA’s past.
Besides Marling, Ben-Adir and Isaacs, the cast is composed of Emory Cohen (Lords of Chaos), Patrick Gibson (The Tudors), Phyllis Smith (The Office), Will Brill (The Marvelous Miss Maisel), Sharon Van Etten (no introduction necessary), Brendan Meyer (The Guest), Ian Alexander, Brandon Perea and Chloë Levine (Mr. Robot). This season’s guest stars include Paz Vega (Sex and Lucía), Irene Jacob (The Affair), Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), Sheila Vand (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night ) and Riz Ahmed (The Night Of).
