AT&T Parody Commercial Brings Rust Cohle to the Classroom

Actor Ross Marquand’s Rust Cohle impersonation is impeccable. He’s mixed True Detective with those AT&T commercials—where the guy interviews little kids in a classroom—for a perfect parody called “AT&True Detective.” In this video, he’s slurping on a juice box, where he explains to the kids that “time is a flat circle.”

Cohle: “What do you know about infinity?”

Kid: “It’s like… forever?”

Cohle: “Nah… nothing is forever, because nothing ever was.”
