The Good Place is one of those TV shows that’s so great that you don’t ever want a new episode to end. Thankfully The Good Place: The Podcast is here to pick up some of that slack every week. The official Good Place podcast releases a new installment after every new episode of the TV show. It’s hosted by Marc Evan Jackson, who plays the demon Shawn, and every episode features a rotating selection of actors and writers from the show. It’s a direct portal into the creative decisions made behind the scenes, and is a must-listen for anybody who loves The Good Place and wants to know how their entertainment is made.

Tonight’s episode won’t go live until midnight, but you can listen to an exclusive clip right now here at Paste. The longest episode of The Good Place: The Podcast yet features guests D’Arcy Carden (Janet from the show), the show’s editor Eric Kissack, and the writer Megan Amram, who’s responsible for many of the store title puns and other background gags in each episode. In this clip the four guests talk about the editing process and how Kissack and the show’s creator Michael Schur decide which scenes or gags have to be cut for time from each episode, with Amram briefly talking about those edits from a writer’s perspective.
