Fieldwork Brewing and The Brothers Comatose Discuss The Intersection of Beer and Music

Fieldwork Brewing officially turns two this March. The Berkeley, California-based brewery has been killing it since its launch in 2015, taking home medals at the past two GABFs and opening tap rooms not only in its hometown of Berkeley but also Napa and Sacramento, California, with stops in Monterey and San Mateo expected to open this Spring.

On March 31st, the brewery is planning a big birthday celebration at the UC Theater headlined by The Brother’s Comatose. There will be a ton of Fieldwork brews on tap at the event, as well as two new beers inspired by Brothers Comatose songs.

Craft Beer and music have a lot of parallels, and the collab is far from the first we’ve seen between a band and a brewery. To help take a look at the trend, Fieldwork Brewing’s Alex Tweet and Barry Braden, and the Brothers Comatose recently did a Brewer’s Roundtable to talk about the beers that were inspired by the band as well offer a glimpse at how independent music helps influence the beers we drink and vice versa.

Take a look at the video, above, exclusively on Paste. And if you’re in the Bay Area we recommend going ahead and marking your calendar for Fieldwork’s Anniversary Party on March 31st. It’s going to be a party you don’t want to miss.
