Bethesda is Not Working on The Elder Scrolls VI Yet

Pete Hines, Bethesda’s vice president of PR and marketing, used Twitter to fus-roh deny rumors that the studio was hard at work on the untitled The Elder Scrolls VI (TES).
According to Hines’ conversation with fans, the studio is not working on TES at the moment because the studio “has other major titles to work on.” Further, he isn’t lying because he “has no reason to” and is merely “managing expectations and clearing up misconceptions.”
@SMatarratas@Hector_Arce__ i’m not lying. i have no reason to lie. just managing expectations and clearing up misconceptions

Hines said the timeline for the game could be “years and years,” unhelpfully adding that the studio will only begin work on the project “when it’s time.”

That last one sounds like a prophecy, and we all know how good Bethesda is at prophecies. Meanwhile, dedicated fans can look forward to trudging back through the next-gen snows of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on Oct. 28.
