Developer Rockstar Games announced this stimulus package on Friday as part of the city of San Andreas’ “tax refund and rebate” program. The fictional San Andreas Treasury Department is also rebating any purchases made in-game by 10 percent, allowing you to get up to $1 million of GTA cash back.
All refunds and rebates will be delivered to each participants’ Maze Bank account between Feb. 27 and March 6. GTA Online is giving you the power to spend your money wisely, with sensible investments like executive penthouses in downtown Los Santos, extravagant vehicles like the recently released Vapid Hustler or maybe even a brand new attack helicopter for those rage-induced weekend sprees.
Since the multiplayer aspect of GTA Online was introduced, Grand Theft Auto V has broken records by become the third best-selling game of all time, selling a whopping 90 million copies since its inception in 2013.
With a complex storyline, eye-popping graphics and endless things to do in the open-world format, GTA Online is sure to carry us over until Rockstar Games’ next highly anticipated installment, Red Dead Redemption 2, releases in October of this year—read more about that here.
