6. Karin: A fan favorite returning to the series, it's easy to see why Karin Kanzuki made the cut for the starting lineup. Her style falls under the "rekka" type, which means she uses a number of combinations and mix-ups out of her quarter-circle forward attacks. Highly technical and one of the more complex fighters to learn, the trade-off is that a mastery of Karin gives you great versatility and surprise in any match-up. You can move in and out of different moves fluidly, and mess with your different timings and hit ranges to throw your opponents for a loop and catch them off-guard. If you like to mind-game your enemies and master a fighting style, Karin is the fighter for you.

5. Cammy: No one does the rush-down quite like Cammy. Able to apply pressure and not let up, Cammy has enough versatility to keep the pressure on and close the distance from any range. Knowing how to use her spin-punch V-Skill to dodge an attack and get in close is key to playing Cammy, as well as using her Hooligan Combination and other specials to keep mobile and aggressive. This rogue clone is an offensive powerhouse, so long as you can keep ahead of your enemy's moves.

4. Fang: An intimidating new boss of Shadaloo, the poison-wielding Fang seems timid and frail. His poison is potent, however, as it can gradually chip down your health while you fight. Whether it's unleashing blobs of venom or a noxious gas cloud, Fang loves to keep his enemies just out of reach as they slowly succumb. You'll need to close the distance on him and keep him from unleashing his poison if you want to best Fang.

3. Rashid: Rashid brings a breadth of new tactics to the arena, with sweeping tornadoes, a number of airborne options and a wall-jump to get him out of sticky corners. Being able to kick up tornadoes to knock foes out of the air or block fireballs gives Rashid a wealth of versatility, and his bread-and-butter combos can dish out a hefty amount of damage. To really dominate, use his V-Trigger to summon up a massive tornado that can heavily damage the enemy, while also boosting his special attacks and letting him launch high into the air.

2. Ken: Ryu's best friend and rival, Ken gets a special edge because of his ability to pressure foes in the mid-range with his quick-step V-Skill. Ken has become the much faster fighter, able to dish out damage at a faster rate and pressure foes heavily, and his V-Trigger lets him burn enemies with his special moves. Ken is able to tussle with the best at almost any range, and easily come out on top. There's a reason that I feel like chucking my controller every time Ken comes up online.

1. Nash: Revived from the dead to exact revenge on Bison and those who betrayed him, Nash is a fast and fierce fighter who can also handle himself at any range. His Sonic Boom and Scythe give him very competent weapons in across the screen, and he can also close the distance in the blink of an eye with his V-Trigger and proceed to rush down his opponent. Nash is a danger at every range and in every situation, and is one of the most intimidating fighters to go up against. Be prepared to see a lot of this revived soldier if you plan on climbing the ladder online.
