The Unsettling New Trailer for A Quiet Place Will Leave You Speechless

The new trailer for A Quiet Place reveals a big secret about Emily Blunt’s character, heightening the film’s already-intense stakes even more. We’ve seen Blunt screaming silently in a bathtub in previous TV spots and the original teaser trailer for the film, but now we find out why.

The horror film marks the second time John Kransinski and his wife Emily Blunt have worked with each other. The Hollywood power couple lent their voices to the English dubbing of the 2013 Oscar-nominated A Wind Rises from acclaimed Japanese animation auteur Hayao Miyazaki. Krasinski also directs his third feature film with A Quiet Place, following the 2016 indie breakout The Hollars and 2009’s star-studded Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. The actor recently starred in Kathryn Bigelow’s Detroit and will star in the forthcoming Jack Ryan television series for Amazon Prime.

Blunt can been seen in the forthcoming Jungle Cruise with Dwayne Johnson, as well as in Mary Poppins Returns alongside a powerhouse cast that includes Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Lin-Manuel Miranda and original Mary Poppins alum Dick Van Dyke.

A Quiet Place opens in theaters nationwide on April 6. See the new trailer above.
