Watch the Eerie First Teaser for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

They keep making them, so you’ll keep seeing them. Although the film itself is still more than half a year away, the first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has already dropped.

In our first look at the film, we don’t get to see Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Instead, we’re treated to our first look at Javier Bardem’s villainous Captain Salazar, who is apparently on the hunt for everyone’s favorite pirate. The whole trailer unfolds as a single scene, one which jives with the strange and occasionally ominous vibes of the films that have come before it.

This will be the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and this new chapter will see the return of Orlando Bloom, who was a major player in the first three films but chose to sit out of the fourth installment. Dead Men Tell No Tales will also star Geoffrey Rush and Kaya Scodelario.
