Beyoncé’s Hilariously Inaccurate Wax Figure Removed from Madame Tussauds, Reinstalled After “Adjustments”

For those of you who haven’t seen it, Beyoncé’s wax figure at the Midtown Manhattan location of Madame Tussauds is a mess—so much so that the museum was pressured to remove it from the floor temporarily to adjust “the styling and lighting of her figure.”

The disappearance of the hilariously inaccurate recreation came after Madame Tussauds told SPIN, “Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the color of our wax figures.” In the museum’s defense, it is impossible to emulate perfection. Still, the creators didn’t even come close to resembling the icon, making what looked like a whitewashed, Britney Spears-esque statue that left people asking, “Is that supposed to be Beyoncé?”

Fans of the star took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the less-than-flattering recreation of Queen Bey.

One user pointed out that the wax figure bears a striking similarity to Lindsay Lohan.

It’s not just the Manhattan location that had a problem recreating the singer. At Madame Tussauds across the country, there are strange, sort-of Beyoncé’s eyeing museum-goers, one of which looks like Marlon Wayans in White Chicks. As one Twitter user asks, have any of the wax figure makers actually seen Beyoncé?

Meanwhile, Kylie Jenner’s wax figure is a spitting image of the … entrepreneur? We’re not sure what to call her. We also can’t tell which one is the real Kylie in her selfie with her wax twin.

The disrespect.
