Listen to Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd’s New Single, “Pray For Me”

Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd collaborate on new single “Pray for Me,” the latest single off Black Panther: The Album. Lamar is hotter than ever after his impressive five-win night at this year’s Grammys. The Weeknd is also riding the victory wave after receiving a Grammy himself for Best Urban Contemporary Album, making him the first artist in the history of the Grammys to win the award twice.

The two juggernauts of rap and R&B come together on the newest single “Pray For Me,” with The Weeknd providing the melody and Lamar rapping lyrics that tie perfectly into the forthcoming movie: “Who need a hero? / You need a hero, look in the mirror, there go your hero,” Lamar raps. The song is the second collaboration between Lamar and The Weeknd after “Sidewalks,” a track from The Weeknd’s Best Urban Contemporary Album-winning Starboy.

The highly anticipated Black Panther: The Album is set to release on Feb. 9, with Black Panther opening in theaters on Feb. 16. You can preorder the album here, instantly unlocking downloads for “Pray For Me,” “King’s Dead” and “All The Stars,” the three advance tracks from the album currently out via Top Dawg Entertainment.
