Car Seat Headrest Record “Not What I Needed” in Simlish for New Sims Game

Music News Car Seat Headrest

Earlier this year, Car Seat Headrest’s latest album, Teens of Denial, was stymied by a physical release delay due to an unauthorized sample of The Cars’ “Just What I Needed,” cleverly used in “Not What I Needed.” The track has now received another rework, albeit an unusual one.

The Seattle-based quartet have recorded “Just What I Needed” in Simlish, the native language from EA’s beloved game The Sims. The incomprehensible version appears in the latest Sims addition, The Sims 4: City Living, for which Tegan and Sara also recorded a Simlish version of their song “Stop Desire.” Listen to the Simlish rework of “Not What I Needed” below.
