Preacher Anointed For Expanded Second Season

TV News

AMC has decreed that Preacher, the devilishly entertaining TV adaptation of Garth Ennis’ dark graphic narrative, will have a second coming in the form of a 13-episode, expanded second season. The show is currently only halfway into its 10-episode first season.

According to a release from the network, the show is “currently averaging 3.3 million viewers per episode” and is the number-two series on cable among adults ages 18-49 and 25-54.

The wild supernatural series was developed by stoner-comedy buds Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, along with writer Sam Catlin.

“What Sam, Seth, Evan and the entire creative team have achieved in bringing Garth Ennis’ graphic novel to the screen is extraordinary,” said AMC president Charlie Collier. “We look forward to more time with these unforgettable characters be it in Heaven, Hell, Texas or beyond.”

Those who have not yet been touched by the show’s unholy influence can catch up during a marathon starting on AMC at 9 p.m. EST tomorrow night and running until 2:35 a.m.

Revisit the six biggest moments from Preacher’s pilot and get excited for the production team to perform their next miracle on Ennis’ The Boys.
