Portlandia: The Tour Adds New Dates

IFC’s Portlandia has extended their two week tour to include a third week spanning six shows in six east coast states. Portlandia: The Tour started in Portland, Ore. On Dec. 27 and only had five upcoming sold-out tour dates before today’s extension.  read more

IFC Announces Two New Shows To Premiere In June

IFC has announced two new scripted shows will join the ranks of Portlandia and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. The channel has ordered 10-episodes each of Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk (working title); both of which will premiere back-to-back in June.  read more

Portlandia Review: “Mixology” (Episode 2.01)

Show creators, writers and actors Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live) and Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney, Wild Flag) have been all over the mainstream media plugging the sketch comedy, including a recent feature on Brownstein—as the grownup riot grrrrl—in The New York Times and a Portlandia profile in The New Yorker. The two are currently on tour together, taking a live version of the show on the road.  read more

Portlandia Review - "Baseball" (Ep. 1.06)

This week’s “Baseball” episode marked the sixth and final installment of the IFC’s short-run sketch comedy series Portlandia, with Saturday Night Live’s Fred Armisen and Sleater-Kinney guitarist Carrie Brownstein playing a cast of motley characters in the Rose City.
