A24 and AMC Are Trying to Scare You in New Religious Horror Screening Series

Image via A24 Movies News Saint MaudIn anticipation of Rose Glass’ forthcoming Saint Maud, A24 and AMC Theatres have curated a rather sacrilegious screening series. For the event, titled “She is Risen,” the distributor and theater chain are teaming up to bring a few classics of religious horror back to silver screens. It will be “one month of soul-shaking terror to mark the arrival of the boldest new voice in horror, writer/director Rose Glass,” according to a press release.
Viewers can watch the Director’s Cut of The Exorcist on Friday, March 13; Rosemary’s Baby on Friday, March 20; and The Conjuring on Friday, March 27, leading up to an advance screening of Saint Maud on Wednesday, April 1.

Saint Maud is “a chilling tale of faith and madness that centers on newly devout hospice nurse Maud (Morfydd Clark), who becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul,” according to the film’s synopsis.
The film will be officially released in theaters on Friday, April 3.
