Fetch the Bolt Cutters arrives April 17

Fetch the Bolt Cutters, which Apple announced in a recent New Yorker interview, will arrive April 17, per a video posted to Apple’s friend Zelda’s Instagram on Wednesday evening. Watch it below:
The video, which shows a dog running on the beach, is soundtracked to some delightfully chaotic percussion—a blip of a new track, maybe?
This news arrives after Apple posted a video (also shared to Zelda’s socials) teasing an early release of the record, which wasn’t supposed to arrive until later in the year. “Should I release it?” she asked. “Like soon? Like really soon? I think I’m gonna.” She’s a woman of her word. The world may be crashing down around us, but at least we’ll have new Fiona Apple songs in a matter of weeks.
Fetch the Bolt Cutters will follow 2012’s The Idler Wheel…, which was her first album after a seven-year gap. Last year, attention was on Apple again when her song “Criminal” appeared in the film Hustlers.
