The Live at Aloft Hotels 2015 tour is winding down, and after seeing sets from artists like Michelle Chamuel,Christian Burghardt,The Veronicas and North of Nine, we were excited to see what the fifth and final Live at Aloft Hotels artist would bring to the table this year. From the minute we picked up the guys from for KING & COUNTRY at the Minneapolis airport, we knew we were in for a good time. Laughing about confused fans and airport mishaps, brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone seemed stoked for the first of five shows on their segment of the Live at Aloft Hotels 2015 Tour. The intimate run of performances are only the latest bit on a busy schedule that’s been peppered with Grammy Awards and hit singles among appearances at fairs and festivals.
When the band took the stage later at the Aloft Minneapolis, they certainly lived up to the hype they’ve been building. A packed crowd poured into the hotel early, singing along to songs like catchy single “Fix My Eyes” as for KING & COUNTRY spliced in humorous lines and personal stories that made each song all the more special. The band played loud and long, even getting out into the audience for a few numbers and playing their final song from the top of the hotel bar.
