Kele Okereke Shares Swanky New Single “Do U Right”

Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke has shared the third single from his forthcoming third solo record Fatherland, coming out on Oct. 6. Originally intended to be a track for a DJ Koze compilation, Okereke finished the song for his own album, releasing it as a follow-up to “Yemaya,” “Grounds For Resentment”—a duet he sings with Olly Alexander of Years and Years—and “Streets Been Talkin’.”

“Do U Right” is a mellow, guitar-led tune amped up with swanky brass horns. Listen to what Okereke calls a “greasy Stax-style romp” below.
