Music News tegan and sara

Tegan and Sara have never shied away from using their platform to strive for social justice. Since the beginning of their careers, they have advocated tirelessly against discrimination and for equality. This morning, they unveiled their latest endeavor and launched The Tegan and Sara Foundation, an organization to aid in the equality of LGBTQ women and girls.

In the last few months spent touring their recent album, Love You To Death, the sisters spent any free time meeting with activists and legislators to aid in their research. In a letter they published on the foundation’s newly launched website, they write:

Our fans not only support us, but each other as well. We see hope and strength in our community, whether through every day acts of kindness or through the power of mobilizing behind a common cause. Therefore, it is with deep gratitude and pride that we commit ourselves further to the fight for justice, equality and progress.
