About the Author

Jason Runkel Sperling is a husband and father to two young children. He was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, where he currently resides, and spent his childhood exploring mountains, rivers, forests, and oceans. He is an Eagle Scout, experienced outdoorsman, has traveled in 5 continents and 45 US states, and lived in Asia and Australia for 2 years. He has documented his outdoor adventures with his children on TheAdventureDad.com for years, founded the Running Wild Family Nature Club, and spends most of his free time trying to figure out how to increase the time his family spends outside. Professionally, Jason received his BFA from University of Colorado before completing an international MBA across three continents. He is currently the director of a software product that helps companies share their messages around the world.
