Los Angeles, CA (Sept 19, 2019) – LA based Christian pop artist, Andrea Hamilton, is slated to release her new single Real Love on Friday, Oct 18, 2019.
Andrea Hamilton’s original single, Real Love, is a collaboration with accomplished EDM producer David Thulin (Andreas Moss, Joe Kirk) and Integrity Music songwriter Rhyan Shirley (Colton Dixon, Greg Sykes).
The single was written after a conversation between Hamilton, Thulin and Shirley about modern-day marriage. The three writers all find themselves in unique, creative marriages with their respective spouses, and feel they’re each learning what love truly consists of.
The song was produced by Thulin and then mixed Matt Arcaini (producer for Disciple, Kutless, I Am Empire).
Andrea Hamilton shares, “We all have such unique relationships and experiences with love. Growing up in North American Christian culture means learning to navigate a dating life that’s already fringe compared to the norm, and then building a life with someone that usually looks pretty different than the church made it seem it would be. A lot of couples nowadays hit roadblocks and hard patches - often - but those are also opportunities to grow up, learn to be more giving, fall deeper in love, and treat someone more like Jesus would. It’s an experiment and a discovery - throwing away things like idealism and selfishness, and finding depth, security and joy.”
Andrea began her music career at 16 when she was named in GMA’s Top 20 New Writers.
Her music has been featured in Extreme Home Makeover, Bachelor in Paradise, Preachers of LA, Too Young to Marry, Mystery Millionare, Ex and the Why, and many other shows and indie films. She also co-wrote the theme song for TLC’s My Giant Life.
As a pop songwriter, she’s been privileged to write with Kevin Fisher (co-writer Rascal Flatts, Sarah Evans), Ashley Argotta (from The Fosters on ABC), Matt Arcaini (producer for Disciple, Kutless, I Am Empire), Jonathan Lee (writer for Word Music), Eman Cervantez (drummer for Andy Grammar), Tyrone Wells (Universal Music) and many, many others.
A handful of years ago in the middle of a tour in Asia, Andrea came down with a mysterious illness that took her out of the music scene for two years. Having made a miraculous recovery from multiple incurable illnesses, she now writes and sings about perseverance, faith, and gratitude for every day on earth.
Andrea’s latest EP entitled “All But Lost” dropped last year, and her cover of Bastille’s “Happier” is about to hit 3 million streams on Spotify.
Hamilton has performed in collaboration with countless charities and non-profits, including AIDS foundation Pasadena and Project AK-47. A musical philanthropist, she has dedicated her life and talents to helping people find hope and healing. Andrea has toured the globe sharing her own recovery story and songs about living life to the fullest.
Past performances include the Dolby Theatre Hollywood, Hotel Cafe, Hollywood and Highland, Starlight Theatre KC, many U.S. venues and numerous international stages including Singapore’s Esplanade.
