Gin Blossoms

Description
Amongst bands like Hootie and the Blowfish and Toad the Wet Sprockets of the 1990s came the Gin Blossoms. Offering up a low-key, make-you-think-about-your-ex type of rock, the Blossoms hit it big in '93 with back to back singles "Hey Jealousy" and "Found Out About You." Tragedy struck in December 1993 when guitarist Doug Hopkins shot and killed himself after a tough, losing battle with alcohol and depression. The Gin Blossoms had one more hit song in '97, "Till I Hear it From You," a track they recorded for the Empire Records' Soundtrack.
