Enjoy three songs from the upcoming HOSTS album Last Night of Gold, due out 3/31/15.
HOSTS is the stage name of Nashville-based, Wisconsin-native Miles Patzer. His second full-length album, Last Night of Gold, creates a relationship of folk-country roots with modern lyrics of long-distant heartache, sad-drinking, and trying to understand the world that seems to shut out hope. He made this album to tell his stories - and simply put, that's all that matters.
Having traded his heart-taking ways for bellowing western ballads, HOSTS has returned fervent in life, ready to tap toes and make modest women blush. Gone are the days filled with yearning for lovers and failing to break through; HOSTS has resurrected anew.
He boasts tales of conquering that amber slick, while staring calamity, square in the eye. No fear of Death, HOSTS walks heart in his hand, guitar ‘round his shoulder; he is no god-fearing man.
He laments for the death of love with a sultry dark shimmer, seen only during the darkest dawn before the night and winter’s end. HOSTS has seen what others have only been told, that glistening light on the “Last Night of Gold.”
All songs written by Miles Patzer.
Recorded and Produced by A.W. Long (Judah & The Lion).
Mastered by Pete Lyman, Infrasonic Sound (Shovels & Rope, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson)
