Beyond just growing up in and around a musical family, he had the opportunity to watch Mt. Paran, the church where his father and grandfather served as Pastors for almost twenty years at in Atlanta, grow from 750 to over 10,000 members on multiple campuses. This gave him the chance to learn many things in regards to what a healthy church, and being a loving leader looks like.

He watched and learned from his family what it really means to Pastor and disciple people. It was also a great way for him to experience and see his father develop a music department that at one point in time had over 800 volunteers involved. This has served as a wonderful education in his life today.

Marshall’s grandfather was Pastor to the popular Christian groups the Newsboys and Mylon Lefevre and Broken Heart in the 80’s and 90’s which afforded him the chance as a boy to pursue his musical mentoring through these friends. This taught him many things in regards to contemporary music, production, and the music industry in general at a young age.

At seventeen , Marshall decided to pursue his passion for music in the secular market due to opportunities that opened up to him and has been employed as a full-time musician in one or multiple ways since. After a number of years touring in the Atlanta based rock band Fear Glory, he found himself feeling like a prodigal son longing for home. With the things of this world leaving him unfulfilled and empty, he felt God lead him to a crossroad.

After over 2000 live performances, where music carried Marshall in one way or another to 14 different countries, and he'd toured and opened for over 80 national level artists, he re-dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and stepped down from his band. Leaving the rock-n-roll lifestyle far behind, Marshall relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, to reconnect with his family and to answer the call God had on his life.

Feeling called to full-time ministry in 2001, he began his ministry journey when he accepted a position as worship leader at North Ridge Community Church in Cave Creek, Arizona. He received his Pastor's license in 2006 from International Ministerial Fellowship. After almost 18 years since stepping into full-time ministry Marshall believes more than ever that his ministry begins and ends with worship, but that pop/rock-n-roll music can still be used to reach the lost for Christ.

Marshall leans toward a style that is edgy, yet worshipful....upbeat, yet dynamic. He plays a healthy mix of today's biggest Christian hits as well as cutting edge originals and new modern versions of hymns.

Over the years, Marshall has led worship for thousands of people per week.

Marshall and his teams have traveled to places like San Diego, Nashville, Flagstaff, Prescott, Show Low, and even as far away as Rio de Janeiro to be a part of leading worship. They’ve opened for Christian bands such as the Phillips, Craig, & Dean, Newsboys, Matthew West, Mark Schultz, Bebo Norman, Sanctus Real, JJ Heller, Peter Furler, Jason Grey, Building 429, Shane & Shane, Avalon, Hawk Nelson, Leeland, Kevin Max, Fusebox, Ricardo Sanchez and others.

Marshall, though no longer touring full-time, has seen multiple singles receive radio play across the country and abroad. "Follow" (w/ Sanctus Real),"Chameleon"(w/ Peter Furler from the Newsboys),"The Vine"(w/Billy Smiley from Whiteheart),"Cast Of Angel"(w/Billy Smiley), to name a few.

Through these different ministry opportunities, Marshall feels the Lord is continuing to make it clear that he is called to spread the Good News wherever he is led! Make sure to download Marshall's other releases on Noisetrade, "Begin Again",“The Road That Leads Me Home", "The Bond Unbroken - The Promise Of The Imprint", "Souls Of Present Grace", "Three Days Down" also his record "Cast of Angels"
