"Venturvane“ is a solo project and same-titled debut album of mine. It's a concept album and self portrait of a young man who dares to follow God into the unknown. He takes a leap of faith and finds himself leaving his comfortable life and routine in San Jose, California to venture off and make a difference in the lives of those in a land and with a language not his own. Waiting for him upon this journey are hope, joy, love and loss. Yet, this is only the beginning.
With influences ranging from Alternative, Acoustic, Christian/Gospel, Spoken Word, Contemporary Classical, Minimalism and maybe some others that I'm not aware of, there is a thread that binds it all together: That is the combined forces of my trusty-sidekick acoustic guitar and me, backed by dynamic orchestral powers, an occasional piano and plenty of loops and samples here and there.
2 Tracks from the CD unfortunately cannot be featured here on NoiseTrade to stream and download: "Bleib an meiner Seite, o Herr“ with text by Austrian lyricist, Paul Seybold and my cover of "How He Loves“ by American singer/songwriter/worship artist, John Mark McMillan. The full 16 Track Album in CD format is available at my bandcamp page (http://venturvane.bandcamp.com/album/venturvane), which includes a digital download and a very special digital bonus track. I'd really love for you to have and hear these two tracks, as each piece has its important place and coexistence with one another on the album. So, don't miss it.
This Venturvane project is very much like a
ministry to me. It's my goal to make the music available to bless
anyone, no matter their
circumstances. So, the music you find here is completely free.
