The Walking Dead Review: Episode 2.5 ("Chupacabra")

Breaking Bad Review: "Face Off" (Episode 4.13)

Breaking Bad Review: "Face Off" (Episode 4.13)

One of the reasons Breaking Bad is considered one of the best dramas on TV right now (and I have a feeling that it will be soon ranked among the all-time greats), is that the writers do a phenomenal job introducing complex themes, plot lines and ideas, and they somehow manage to weave them all together for an extremely satisfying conclusion. He was always so elusive and professional that we assumed he operated on a similar level of coldness that blocked out emotion. But as “Hermanos” showed us this season, much of Gus’ decision to cut off ties with the cartel and start a war... read more

Breaking Bad Review: "Hermanos" (Episode 4.08)

Breaking Bad Review: "Hermanos" (Episode 4.08)

“Hermanos” opens with a flashback from season two when Gus talks to Walt in the hospital. As is common with the show, they take the flashback and add more to it than we had previously seen. After ending his conversation with Walt, Gus goes to visit ex-cartel henchman Tio in his nursing home and tells him about his nephews dying at the hands of Hank Schrader. But then Gus essentially reveals that his entire family has been killed off, and it was at his behest. Tio, writhing in anger, can’t do anything but stare at Gus and seethe. Gus smirks... read more
