Jon Stewart Will Help Stephen Colbert Face Down the Republican National Convention
Photos by Scott Gries, Kevin Winter/GettyFor the next two weeks, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will be offering live coverage to both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
According to Vulture, Colbert will have a little help from an old friend. On Monday, Jon Stewart, the former captain of The Daily Show, will return to fight the good fight and help Colbert cover the madness of the RNC.
So far, CBS showrunners have refused to comment on just what it is Stewart will be doing. Colbert will be hosting his live show at the Ed Sullivan theater in New York, so there’s a chance that the Late Show host could flip the script and toss it to Stewart live in Cleveland.
The two reunited last December when Stewart appeared on The Late Show to “Trump it up” (complete with orange Cheeto dust on his face) and encourage voting support for 9/11 first responders receiving proper healthcare coverage. Watch that segment below.
While waiting for whatever surprise is in store on Monday night at 11:35 p.m., revisit our recent ranking of the current late night show hosts here.
