5 Funky Margaritas For Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo, also known as Cinco de Drinko to American alcohol enthusiasts, is a holiday typically celebrated with overflowing margarita glasses and muchas cervezas. The holiday in fact celebrates freedom, democracy and pride after the Mexican army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. While in Mexico the holiday is celebrated mostly in the state of Puebla, it is widely celebrated in the United States, because as Americans we love hijacking celebrating other countries’ raucous drinking holidays (think St. Patty’s Day and Oktoberfest too).
So, invite over all your amigos and shake up some of these margarita recipes. ¡Salud!
