Alex Evans is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter from Cincinnati, OH. Though he has played music all his life, Alex only began to take writing and recording seriously at the end of high school. After a few home demos, he went into the studio in February of 2012 to record a four track EP with Chad Wahlbrink (Pomegranates, Sacred Spirits, the Soil and the Sun). He drew upon a wide variety of influences, from classic folk and rock artists like the Beatles, Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan, to 80s New Wave bands like the Cure and the Smiths, all the way up to modern indie acts such as Pomegranates, Local Natives, and Ra Ra Riot. The result was a lush yet simple sound that has been described as 'comforting yet danceable.' After releasing this EP, Alex formed a trio and began to play small shows around Cincinnati, gaining a small following as he did. He has played in some of Cincinnati's most atmospheric venues with many of the city's best up and coming acts.
