Description
The Northern Empty, a pop-folk quintet based in Denver, CO is currently made up of Nick Anderson, Cooper Leith, Brendan Schuster, Erik Fellenstein and Lindsey Black. Inspired by the essences of The Head and the Heart, The Oh Hello’s and Of Monsters and Men, The Northern Empty uses a variety of pop influenced melodies, accented by diverse instrumentation, immersive sound hooks and dynamic male/female harmonies.
The band formed in early 2015. After releasing a two song EP titled “Run Home”, the band quickly started to accrue local and national
attention. The follow up effort, their debut LP titled “Suzie”, debuted
at #25 on the singer/songwriter iTunes charts and earned them sold out
shows, a national listening base, a successful tour, and multiple
positive album reviews from publications across the country. The two
singles off the album, “Off the Floor” and the title track “Suzie”, have
each collected well more than 200,000 streams on Spotify. The original
four members of the band all met at the University of Denver. Their
newest member, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lindsey Black, was
added to the lineup in July of 2016.
