Sleater-Kinney and Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein is writing and directing a short film for KENZO’s fall-winter campaign. The film, titled The Realest Real, will premiere on Sept. 12 during New York Fashion Week. The short stars Kim Gordon, Laura Harrier, Mahershala Ali, Natasha Lyonne and Rowan Blanchard.
Today, KENZO shared the trailer, featuring quick cuts of scenes taken from the film. The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot, but according to the brand, it is a “humorous exploration of the fickle and instant world of the internet” that “take[s] a look at the invisible digital walls that separate us from our favorite personalities and icons, and the curious conceit of a dream come true.”
