Acclaimed Atlanta Writer Stefani Robinson Signs Overall Contract with FX

Less than two years ago, Stefani Robinson (above, left) was an assistant at the Gersh Agency. Now, she’s described as one of the most exciting young writers and producers in all of television. Proof of that came in an announcement from FX Productions today, as Robinson inked an exclusive deal with the network for future projects.

Robinson’s first formal writing job came just over a year ago, when she was brought on to the Atlanta writer’s room. Her name has since been attached to a multitude of projects, from FX’s Man Seeking Woman and an original script for Fox Searchlight to the Deadpool cartoon adaptation where she will rejoin many of the Atlanta writers, including creator Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover (above, right).

“Stefani has emerged as one of the brightest new writers and producers in little more than a year since she first joined the Atlanta team,” said FX Networks’ original programming president Nick Grad in a statement (per THR). “She wrote or contributed to many unforgettable episodes, helping to make it the breakout comedy of the year. Stefani has continued to grow as an artist and, under this new overall deal, we can’t wait to collaborate with her on future projects.”

Atlanta season two is expected to air sometime in 2018. Keep an eye out for more info on future projects from Robinson and FX.
