The cancellations for the Fall TV season are slowly rolling in, and now NBC is getting in on the action. The Hollywood Reporterhas revealed the network has axed two of its dramas, sophomore Lipstick Jungleand freshman series My Own Worst Enemy.
The shows were dropped because of (what else?) low ratings, at 3.3 and 4.3 million weekly viewers respectively. Jungle had tried out a Friday night slot before its demise, but ratings continued to sink. Expectations had been high for Enemy, which NBC had placed in their coveted post-Heroes time slot on Monday nights. Of course, its unclear how much help Heroes can be these days either.
No word on how fast the shows will be yanked from the schedule, but there is no current announcement for replacements.
