Listen to Twin Peaks’ The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer on Audiobook

Ahead of the anticipated return of the cult television series Twin Peaks, Audible will release the audio version of The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer. The audiobook edition will be read by none other than Sheryl Lee, who played Laura Palmer in the series and the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Honestly, The Secret Diary just wouldn’t feel the same without Lee’s spooky-sexy voice.

In the television series, the secret diary played a key role in unraveling the mystery of who killed Laura Palmer. Both her friends and Special Agent Cooper dug through the diary in an attempt to further understand the troubled, murdered teenager and hopefully bring her killer to justice. As they read through it, they learned that the homecoming queen had a secret life of sex, drugs and danger beyond anyone’s wildest, most Lynch-ian dreams.

The secret diary was actually written by director David Lynch’s then-22-year-old daughter, Jennifer Lynch. Its disturbing novelization, currently available on Amazon, chronicles Palmer’s life from ages 12 to 17, and contains many shocking sexual and violent exploits. Read in the voice of Palmer, aka Lee, The Secret Diary is sure to be maximum creepy.

The Secret Diary will be released on Audible on May 2, and is currently available for preorder for $19.95. The Twin Peaks television revival will air on Showtime on May 21 at 9 p.m. EST. Click here to read more about the forthcoming series and watch a trailer in which Lynch eats a donut.
