The Academy Awards are largely responsible for informing the viewing publics’ cultured taste in cinema, but Americans are increasingly turning their back on the institution, at least partially due to tone deaf nominations.
Those still looking to get an expert take on Feb. 28’s show need not look any further than On Cinema’s “Oscar Special IV,” hosted by Tim Heidecker. The show, which begins at 4:30 pm, will stream exclusively on Adult Swim and is sure to boast the series’ usual blend of absurdist and macabre humor.
“Host Tim Heidecker and his guest Gregg Turkington are back to walk us through the 2016 Academy Awards ceremony with their insight and expert opinions,” a press release purports. ”[B]ut they have a lot of baggage to resolve if they’re going to get through this special.” We can’t wait to see it break down into chaos once again.
