5 St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails to Kick Off Your Celebration

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us! While it’s typical to reach for a pint of Guinness or a shot or two of Jameson to celebrate, St. Patrick’s Day can also be a pretty solid holiday for cocktails.

If you’re looking for ideas on what to serve at your St. Patrick’s Day party or just to sip on at home alone, here are a few delicious ideas beyond your standard irish coffee.

Sláinte de la Noche

Ingredients:
1 ½ parts Hornitos® Black Barrel Tequila
1 ½ parts coffee liqueur
¼ part vanilla syrup
1 part heavy cream

Directions: Combine equal parts vanilla extract, water and sugar and bring to a boil to create vanilla syrup. Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a glass and serve.


Humo Verde

Ingredients:
1 oz. Casamigos Mezcal
1 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
.75 oz. Simple Syrup
4 Basil Leaves
2 Thyme Sprigs 2
1” Slices Grilled Green Poblano Peppers
1” Grilled Poblano Slice and Dried Thyme

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker. Muddle the herbs and pepper, add ice and shake well. Fine strain into a rocks glass and add fresh ice. Garnish with a grilled poblano slice and dried thyme.


Green in the Afternoon

Ingredients:
.5 oz. St-Germain elderflower liqueur
.25 oz. limoncello
2 dashes of absinthe
Pinch of matcha power

Directions: In a glass of champagne top up with champagne and stir gently


Matcha Flip

Ingredients:
2 oz. of sake
1 oz. of St-Germain elderflower liqueur
.5 oz. coconut & matcha power syrup
1 whole egg

Directions: Add all the ingredient in a shaker with no ice to emulsify the egg then add ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupette. Add a pinch of matcha powder as a garnish.


Irish Screwdriver

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. KEEL Vodka
3.5 oz. Orange Juice
.75 oz. Blue Curaco

Directions: Build all ingredients in a glass over ice, stir, serve and enjoy!
