Vivien Jones lives on the north Solway shore dividing her time between writing prose, drama and poetry and devising reading events, often with early music. She is a viol and recorder player who performs frequently in historic buildings. A chapbook 'Hare' (Erbacce Press) was published in March 08. Her first collection of short stories and monologues -'Perfect 10' - was published in September 2009 by Pewter Rose Press. Her first poetry collection - 'About Time ,Too' - was published in August 2010 by Indigo Dreams Publishing, a month in which she also won the 2010 Poetry London Prize. She has just been awarded a Writer's Bursary from Creative Scotland for her current writing project, a themed collection with the running title, women amongst warriors. She loves to give writing workshops, especially to those new to creative writing - it's no accident that her first poetry collection is called 'About Time, Too'!
Vivien is on the Scottish Book Trust Live Literature List - so can be hired for readings and workshops for half the usual fee. Her personal website can be found at www.vivienjones.info
