Description
Alright Alright's frontwoman, China Kent, wrote Too Much in a songwriting workshop as a 30 minute exercise, and the song has been a staple of Alright Alright’s live show ever since. As the 9th installment in their year-long Song-O-The-Month project, this song takes on a much more traditional folk Americana vibe than much of the band’s other work. “I wanted it to feel like we were just sitting on a front porch playing together…somehow with a Hammond B3 organ” she said, and the song accomplishes this goal with finesse. “Too Much” was recorded as a student project with several students in the Recording Arts program at the University of Colorado, Denver, including bandmate Katelin Champion, who engineered and co-produced along with Seth and China. Americana Folk at its finest: order up!
