A collection of sketches created between 2009-2011, 'Serenade EP' is a 9 track album full of percussive grooves and ambient soundcapes, with the odd horn solo thrown in for good measure.
Thanks to Jack 'Dr Slice' Rouse and Luther 'Bad Man' Williams for providing vocals.
Track 1: Melody originally by Bob Dylan (obviously)
Track 2: Lyrics taken from Tupac Shakur's poem "And 2Morrow."
Samples taken from De La Soul's "3 Feet High And Rising" and Max Roach's "Freedom Now Suite"
Track 5: Samples taken from Sufjan Stevens' "A Sun Came" and Jez Poole's "House/Rap BRH51" sampler borrowed from and never returned to Hessle High School.
Track 7: Samples taken from the John Butler compilation "The John Butler Tapes Vol. 1" (featuring his work for the BBC involving tape manipulation & the like) and John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme," the greatest album ever recorded.
Track 8: Original melody is adapted from Derek Borgeoise's wind band piece of the same name.
Track 9 is a mystery.
