Description

Real. Refreshing. Fun. Memorable.

A jeans and t-shirt kinda girl from San Francisco, Rachel has the ability to tell a story in a way that is instantly contagious. Her music is fun, catchy, and easy to resonate with. In concert, she weaves her personal narrative of music, chronic illness, goofiness, and grace in a way that leaves you inspired. She's the real deal. Honest, down-to-earth, and "one of us."

Rachel has a unique story in that she has battled through many years of chronic pain and illness. This struggle for answers and health has deepened her music, her message, and her ability to help others discover God and His everyday grace. She is passionate about pointing people to Jesus and to His life-changing Truth. Through music, writing, and speaking, Rachel's heartbeat is to help people have light-bulb moments with God.

In 2011 Rachel won Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Best in Show at the Gospel Music Association's Immerse Conference, earning her a spotlight performance on the Cinderella Castle Stage at Walt Disney World, opening for TobyMac.

In 2013, Rachel signed with CWC Music Publishing in Nashville, TN as a staff songwriter. However, less than one year later, Rachel's publisher, Cindy Wilt-Colville passed away. Cindy was a long-time veteran of the Christian music industry working with artists/writers such as Matthew West, Jason Ingram, Jason Walker, Cindy Morgan and many others.

Rachel continues to write, tour, and speak independently at women's retreats, conferences, festivals, high schools, Celebrate Recoveries, churches, house concerts, and prisons. Her style is considered Redemptive Pop, with nuances of Folk and Rock. Rachel sounds like a blend of: Francesca Battistelli, Mandisa, Laura Story, Ingrid Michaelson, & Sara Bareilles.

She and her husband, Derek, and their beloved and somewhat famous dog "Joey Smiley Wiggle Socks" currently live in Nashville, TN.
