Description

Rachel Troublefield's second studio EP, Brooklyn Dark, is a compilation of experiences and emotions collected the past few years living in New York and traveling all around the country. Themes of being built up and knocked down by love and running from while searching for home dominate this five song EP recorded both in Queens New York and Greenville South Carolina with producer, Kieran Kelly.

From the title track, 'Brooklyn Dark's raw emotion and story telling to the upbeat, easy to dance to 'Running', to 'Sweet Carolina', a love song to the place she was born and raised--based on the song by Ryan Adams--Rachel Troublefield's Brooklyn Dark EP is deeply vulnerable, deeply personal, and deeply hopeful.

Rachel says, "There's a road in my hometown that, when I'm making records or even in the beginning stages of writing a song, I think of. I ask myself, would this be good to listen to while driving down that road with the windows down? I drove that road, windows down, and my Brooklyn Dark EP blasting. I was very happy."
