Beer in the Kitchen: How To Make Beer Marinade For Steaks

There’s nothing quite like having a beer with your steak, unless, of course you can have beer in your steak. Beer can be an awesome base for marinating steaks (and other meats). Making a marinade is easy enough that anyone can do it and can make your finished product oh so delicious. Below is a pretty basic marinade recipe using beer. Feel free to change things up to suit your own personal taste. As long as you stick to the general recipe, it’s hard to screw this one up. This recipe is for a pound of steak (I recommend trying hanger steak). If you have more than that, adjust portions accordingly.

Ingredients:
1/4 dark beer – I recommend using a standard brown from your fave local brewery
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 clove of garlic
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions: This one is as easy as it gets… mix everything together. Once everything is mixed together, pour it all in a large ziplock bag (think the large freezer kind) and then stick your steaks in. Seal the bag. Double check that you have in fact sealed the bag. Put it in your fridge for at least 24 hours.

When you’re ready to cook, take your steaks out of the marinade, pat them dry, and cook as normal.
