Poker Face Season 2 Trailer Showcases New Mysteries And Beefy Cast (That Includes An Alligator)
Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste

After a two-plus-year wait, more Poker Face is just around the corner. We just got the first full trailer for Season 2 in preparation for its May 8 premiere, which showed off its very long, very impressive list of guest stars. Cynthia Erivo, Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, John Mulaney, Kumail Nanjiani, John Cho, Awkwafina, Method Man, and an alligator named Daisy are just some of the faces we can expect to see for the show’s Columbo-style one-off appearances. And, of course, we also saw Natasha Lyonne back as protagonist Charlie Cale, our sleuth who uncovers mysteries with her uncanny ability to tell if someone is lying.

The series originally debuted in early 2023 on Peacock to a warm response from audiences and critics, with Lyonne being nominated for an Emmy for her performance. It was created by film director Rian Johnson (Knives Out trilogy, Looper, Brick), with Nora and Lilla Zuckerman handling showrunning duties. The show’s 10 episodes were largely structured like case-of-the-week, inverted detective stories, meaning audiences were shown who did the crime at the start as Charlie pieced things together for herself.

This follow-up season will run for 12 episodes, with the first three episodes available May 8 on Peacock, followed by a weekly release schedule. Johnson is returning to direct the first episode, and the show’s star Lyonne is directing the second, with both also handling writing and executive producing duties. Tony Tost will take over as showrunner for this second season.
