Watch Arctic Monkeys Perform “Four Out Of Five” on Jimmy Fallon

British rockers Arctic Monkeys performed “Four Out Of Five” from their new album on last night’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The band’s brand new, sixth studio album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, is out now via Domino Records.

On “Four Out Of Five,” Alex Turner’s lyrics set a rather unusual scene: a four-star taqueria on the moon. The album’s lounge music vibe spills over into this track as well, as Turner croons with a soulful range that fans haven’t heard before, alongside both vintage and futuristic keyboards and slinky guitar riffs.

Their Fallon performance features the four Monkeys alongside a few extra musicians, namely Tame Impala’s Cam Avery, who also toured with Turner’s side project band, The Last Shadow Puppets. Turner is seated at his piano, which according to Turner, was the main fuel for writing and recording the band’s new album. About 30 seconds before the band wraps up the track, Turner stands up with his arms extended, so as to officially welcome fans to Arctic Monkey’s daring, piano-driven, science-fiction-inspired new era and universe.

Earlier today, Turner spoke with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe about the band’s new album, including their Strokes namedrop, and zany song titles like “The World’s First Ever Monster Truck Front Flip” and “The Ultracheese.”
