Joss Whedon Will Write a Captain America Story for the Character’s 75th Anniversary
Joss Whedon, director of The Avengers and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is set to write a 75th-anniversary Captain America story for Marvel. Captain America first appeared in 1941, with the mission of fighting the Nazis, as the alter ego of Steve Rogers. In 2014, Sam Wilson took the mantle as the nation’s leading freedom fighter, and Whedon’s story—which comes out in the March 30 issue—will focus on Wilson.
